In the beautiful setting of the Iveagh Gardens in the centre of Dublin, more than 60 chefs and exhibitors gather for 4 days of food extravaganza! Taste of Dublin is ultimate foodie destination for 4 days of summer eating, drinking and entertainment.

Learn from the celebrity chefs in the theatre, sample amazing meals and try some of the new cocktails mixologists have developed for the festival. Taste of Dublin is where all foodies go every June, will you be there as well? This four-day event will celebrate the exciting and diverse Dublin gastronomic scene. Expect to see some of the Irish chefs who are celebrated abroad at the special festival’s homecoming this year.
For the first time in their 11 year history, Taste of Dublin has partnered with The Open Gate Brewery who has created a small batch special brew ‘Strawberry Porter’ for Taste of Dublin inspired by an Irish summer. Visitors will be able to sample this brew, together with other experimental mixes!

The Book of Kells

The Book of Kells - Trinity College Library, Trinity College, College Street , Dublin 2

The world renowned Book of Kells was written around the year 800 AD and is celebrated for its lavish decoration. The 680 pages of vellum in the manuscript contain the Latin texts of the Four Gospels. It was written around the year 800 AD by Irish monks, probably begun at a monastery in Iona, an island off the coast of Scotland Scotland then transpoted and finished at Kells, Co. Meath. It was later buried in the ground for fear of damage by the Vikings and after being eventually rediscovered it was deposited for safe keeping in Trinity College around 1653.
