If you’re lucky enough to be spending St Patrick’s Day in Dublin this year, you have a lot to look forward to. From the build up to the big day, to the Irish culture and famous landmarks, there’s no better place to spend St Patrick’s week than the main city itself.

The perfect base is key while you’re visiting and Trinity City Hotel is one of the most central hotels in Dublin. Trinity College, The Guinness Storehouse and Temple bar are all minutes from the hotel.

Make sure to get the most out of your time here by taking part in all of the celebrations leading up to St Patrick’s Day with the St Patrick’s Festival. From March 14th the festivities begin with five great days of celebrations across the city. Each celebration showcases the many skills and talents of Irish people of every age.

Spend the evening at the Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fair
Enjoy three days of delicious food, fun and of course beer at Ireland’s largest craft beer and food fair. It’s back for another year in the Convention Centre Dublin from March 14-16th. Be sure to book your tickets ahead of time.

Watch the city go green
Take a stroll through the city and see some of Dublin’s famous landmarks light up in green for Ireland’s big day, such as Trinity College Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity City Hotel itself.

Take part in Ceili Mor
Enjoy live music and traditional Irish dance at Ireland’s largest outdoor ceili taking place on March 16th. It’s the perfect day out if you’re looking for something fun to do for the whole family. Enjoy a festivity of Irish culture with great atmosphere all day.

Pull a pint of Guinness
If you’re keen to have a pint of Guinness while you’re in the home of it all why not pull your own pint at the Guinness Storehouse? Or you can spend the evening at the Guinness Storehouse Supper Club and enjoy an original pint of the “black stuff” complemented with great food and even better atmosphere on March 14th & 16th.

Get the perfect view for the parade

Be at the heart of it all and watch the Parade go through Westmoreland street on March 17th, just a two minute stroll from Trinity City Hotel. A key attraction each year so be sure to get there early and wear something green. This year’s theme is storytelling and will showcase performances, music and dance from all over the world.

Afterwards why not take a stroll along the Custom House Quay and enjoy the annual city funfair? A perfect treat after the parade for the whole family.

Enjoy a different type of Irish culture
Lastly while you’re visiting it might be tempting to stick to the city festivities but make sure to experience the Irish countryside outside of the city also. In Dublin we’re lucky enough to have a lot of gorgeous scenery and landscapes close by. Why not take a hike up the Wicklow Mountains and take in the true beauty of Ireland?

Trinity City Hotel is right in the centre of it all and just 3 minutes from the nearest dart station making all must see locations easily accessible from the hotel.
