If rugby and football is your thing, make sure to visit the Aviva stadium. It is built on one of the oldest sporting grounds in Ireland, and has wonderful tour exploring over 150 years of sporting history. Did you know that the first ever international athletic meeting happened on Lansdowne Road in 1876? During the tour, you will get to see the press conference rooms and player dressing rooms, while learning about history of sport in Ireland.

The Aviva is a prime venue, used for football and rugby, but it also functions as a meeting venue and hosts some of the country's biggest concerts as well.

The Aviva Stadium is located in the wonderful leafy area of Ballsbridge, and is easily accessible from the city centre.

How to get there

By DART:

You will need to take any southbound DART to Grand Canal Dock Station. You can take DART train from Tara Station, located just behind the Hotel.

By Bus:

Dublin Bus numbers 4, 7 and 8 from O’Connell Street and O’Connell Bridge stop closeby to Aviva Stadium.

Walking:

Aviva Stadium is approximately 30 minutes’ walk from Dublin city centre.
